PA Day Camp

Parents, do you need activities for your children on those PA days? The Town of Huntsville can help!  Create-A-Day camp will be taking part in activities that will be provided by businesses in downtown Huntsville.  Camp will operate from the Partners Hall, Algonquin Theatre.  

Campers will need to bring a healthy lunch, 2 snacks, indoor shoes and be prepared to have fun. For PA Day Camps, children will need to bring apprpriate outdoor clothing.  Other activities will include crafts, games and outdoor adventures.

These camps are for children 5 to 12 years of age. For our camps to operate, we must achieve a minimum of 10 children registered per day. Pre registration is required and can be completed at the Huntsville Centennial Centre, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Christmas Day Camps

December 28-30, 2009

Time: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm

Camp Costs:  $84.00

Create-A-Break - March Break Day Camp

This program is designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12.  Day to day activities will have children swimming, playing games, going on excursions and will be taking part in activities that will be provided by businesses in teh downtown Huntsville.

 

The program will run from Partners Hall, Algonquin Theatre from Monday, March 15 to Friday, March 19, 2010.

Home Schooling Leisure Swim

 

Is your child home schooled?   We have an opportunity for you to bring them swimming!   The Leisure Services Department will be hosting public swim times Monday afternoons from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.  This will be offered to the public starting January 18 and continuing until March 8, 2010. Cost: $2.50 per person.

 

Home Schooling Private Swimming Lessons

Private Swimming Lessons & Semi Private Swimming Lessons

 

Lessons available on Monday afternoons.

Classes are 1/2 hour in length.

Time :  between the 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.

Private Lesson (1 Child and 1 Instructor)

January 18 to March 8, 2010

Cost:  Book 5 lessons for $83.00 or 7 for $110.00

This option provides your child with the maximum amount of individual swimming instruction.  If your child was unsuccessful completing a level or needs work on a specific skill or stroke, this may be a suitable alternative to group lessons.

Semi Private Swimming Lessons ( 2 to 3 Children and 1 Instructor)

January 18 to March 8, 2010

Cost:  Book 5 lessons for $60.50/child or 7 for &80.00

Find a friend in a similar level who is interested in semi private lessons.  This provides your child with the next greatest amount of individual swimming instruction.

Red Cross Babysitting Course

 

This course is designed for boys and girls 11 years of age and older who are responsible for younger sibilings after school or have am interest in babysitting.  This course includes the basics childcare, understanding child behaviour and development, accident prevention and how to react in an emergency.

Cost:  $50.00 per person ( manual included)

Time: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
