The Town of Huntsville, Community Services, is accepting applications for the following part-time seasonal positions.   Applicants must have previous experience working in a recreation setting and have the minimum qualifications for each posted position.   Please be advised that only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.   Community Services would like to thank all applicants for their interest with the Town of Huntsville.

Youth Programs

To qualify for these positions, individuals must have current CPR and First Aid Certification, previous experience working with children (ages 3- 13 years) and have an understanding of many sports, cooperative games and arts/crafts.  The following is a list of employment opportunities within Youth Programs.

Aquatics

Community Services invites enthusiastic persons to apply for challenging positions in our aquatic facility.   All of our positions offer excellent opportunities to develop leadership skills.   Applications are available at the Huntsville Centennial Centre, or drop off a resume to the Pool Office.   For more information, please contact Morven Barnes, Aquatics Coordinator, at 789-6421 ext. 3023.

Lifeguards

Instructor/Lifeguard Part time.  Positions available Daytime, Evening & weekends hours. Huntsville Centennial Centre

To qualify for these positions individuals must have a current National Lifeguard Service (NLS), First Aid, and CPR certification.   Previous life guarding experience is an asset.

Waterfront Instructor/Lifeguard & Canoe Instructor

To qualify for these positions individuals must have a current National Lifeguard Service (NLS), First Aid, and CPR certification, Lifesaving & Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.  Previous aquatic instruction is an asset.  Individuals must be flexible due to varying schedules. Positions - Port Sydney Beach

 

Parks, Locks and Cemeteries

To qualify for these positions individuals, must have a current driver's license and experience in operating lawn care equipment.

Concession Staff

Community Services operates two concession areas within the municipality. Individuals must be 14 years of age. Individuals must be flexible due to varying schedules.

 

Community Services Volunteer Positions Available!!

"Customer Service Assistants"

 In order to provide extended customer service to the community, we are looking for individuals who may have some spare time after school or on Saturdays.  The necessary training and your duties will be based on your ability level.
