Adult Learn to Swim
Lessons
An
introductory level for adults who want to learn how to
swim on their front and back. Our qualified and
friendly staff will help you build your confidence in
and around the water. In this level adults will
learn basic floatation, movement and breathing techniques.
Discover stroke techniques on your front and back.
Winter Session 2010:

Adult Basic
Stroke Improvement
A new opportunity for those adults who know how to swim, but have picked up some bad habits or have never had any stroke instruction! This class is for those who want to improve their swimming ability through the use of drills and skill work. Emphasis is on technique and improving comfort and cardio vascular levels in the pool
Winter Session 2010:

Tuesday Evenings - 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. ( may change)

Fitness Swimming - Intermediate
This class will encourage adults who can swim to improve their efficiency in the water. Drills will be used to focus on individual improvement in the areas of endurance, strength and speed. Swimmers will swim a distance of 1500 M per night.

Adult
Stroke Improvement - Intermediate Advanced
This class is geared to those adults who are looking to improve their swimming ability and are perhaps thinking about attempting a triathalon. Emphasis is on stroke technique and building endurance and comfort in the pool. Speed and distance workouts are used to improve cardio performance. Swimmers will swim a distance of 1500 - 2000 M per night. Use of the pace clock is introduced.

Adult Swim Training - Advanced
A class for medium to advanced swimmers who will swim 1800 - 2000 meters per night. Workouts and drills are designed to improve stroke efficiency and technique with the use of hand paddles, pull buoys and fins. Butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke are incorporated into some workouts to add variety and fun! Speed and endurance sets are designed to imptove endurance and fitness in the water.

Cost: $64.35 + GST (9 weeks)
Triathlon Training - Expert
This is our most intense class for those who have already achieved a high level of endurance and speed. Swimmers will complete more than 2000 M per night.

program involves water walking, slow stretching, range
of motion exercises. Good for people with twinges in their hinges. Participants must be recommended
for this class, please bring a note from a doctor or physiotherapist.

Aqua Jog &
Spin Fitness Class
This fitness program accomodates a wide variety of fitness goals. Since participants are encouraged to work at their own pace, this program is great for beginners and elite athletes alike. The water resistance strengthens muscles and loads the cardio vascular system while buoyancy eliminates impact and joint strain. This is an excellent aquatic cross training
opportunity. Equipment is supplied.

Aqua Yoga
This program utilizes the warmth of the Therapeutic pool to relax Joints and muscles so they can be stretched and worked through their maximum range of motion.
Cost: $4.50 per class or 20 Tickets for $66.00
Joint Effort Membership can also be applied to this class.
Friday mornings 10:00 - 10:45 am
Moms and Tots
This is a unique opportunity for young moms to get into shape while they have fun with their babies. The babies will sit in a float and be incorporated into the workout. Please bring a T-shirt to help keep the baby warm and a float if you have one.
